Knowing that there is diversity in the world that Allah, Glorious and Exalted, created, with beings of different kinds and species—after creating the world of humans, as well as those who cannot be seen or heard except by those who believe and have certainty of their existence within the world we live in, along with other creatures like animals. Allah, the All-Competent, who has no partner in His creative power, created humans and showed that there is no distinction between them, except for those who fear Him more and strive to fulfill what He has commanded regarding worship. Indeed, this is the case before Allah.
However, when humans took a different path, they imposed their own standards of judgment, measuring differences among people based on power, wealth, or natural beauty. They viewed those who possessed these worldly advantages as the ones enjoying the best of life, welcomed by the world, and who drank the most of its pleasures.
This was the case for a young man blessed with beauty, wealth, and the gift of knowledge from Allah. He was content with himself and the lifestyle he found himself in, unaware of any hardship or challenge that Allah uses to test His faithful servants, to examine the strength of their belief.
Indeed, the world gave him everything he wanted, so he could rise from the bright path of his life and encounter the risks he had never faced in the dark path! Those whom the world has favored are caught in confusion, worrying about their future.
He was dressed in a sky-blue robe, and the way he looked and carried himself emanated a pleasant fragrance from his body, calming anyone who inhaled it. He drove skillfully and with ease, his eyes half-closed as if in sleep. Beside him sat his companion, Ak, on the idle passenger seat, holding his phone and scrolling. They chatted briefly, though most of the time there was silence between them, each absorbed in himself, surrounded by beauty, wealth, intelligence, and refinement.
Suddenly, the car made a loud noise, he slammed the brakes, and came to a stop in panic when an old man appeared in front of him, causing a collision. He stopped, glaring in frustration, seeing how the old man was trying to waste his time. He quickly opened the car door to get out, saying, “This foolish man is wasting my time—didn’t anyone tell him I don’t have time to waste?” He left without paying attention to Ak, who also quickly followed, understanding the situation, though before he could intervene, A.m slapped the old man twice.
“You have no sense—do you want to waste my time with this worthless piece of metal? Fool!” A small old man stammered, struggling to speak, and Ak quickly grabbed his hand and stood up, then broke into tears, for only he understood the state he was in.
“Ah, A.m, how can you hit someone who gave birth to you? Look at his condition, and you have no pity,” Ak said, staring at him as if he would say nothing more. Then he walked toward his car but opened his mouth again:
“Don’t you see what he did to me? Yesterday I started riding this car, and he blocked me. I know his children—no one could even buy the car’s tire.”
Ak remained silent, staring at him with frustration at his lack of respect for the poor and his arrogance, but in his eyes, he restrained himself because he knew who Ak was and his family background.
“By the grace of Allah, you will get what is justly due to you,” Ak said, feeling cautious, knowing that he was a son of Alhaji Muhammad Turaki, a family renowned for wealth, knowledge, and sophistication. Fortunately, A.m did not hear what he said, as he turned toward his car, sighing.
Ak took out a large sum of money and handed it to him, saying, “Here, father, please forgive me. Go to the hospital and have yourself checked.” Seeing that everything was going to his hands, A.m quickly accepted it with gratitude, thinking that with this money he could now sell his bicycle, and unexpectedly, he received this sum.
